Rather than streaming it? I also wanted to know whether there are any other sites that have free sample H.264 encoded HD videos?

The easy way is go to the movie page which it would normally load in your browser, then view the page source, then search for .mov

You have to get the actual movie file from the "reference movie." Actually nowadays they just put it right in the HTML as href=. Easily done with view source on the corresponding movie page and notepad.

So I got bored...

By the way... I have 1 more question. I am a bit adventoruos, so is there any way I con convert Hi Def WMV to H.264? I have QT 7 PRO.

Since QT7Pro doesn't support WMVHD's VC-1 codec, you will have to find a tool to convert WMVHD first to MPEG-2 first. Then use QT7Pro or others to encode it to H.264. I haven't been to find a single transcoder.

Theres some on Amazon that only work in your pc with WMV9. I only know of Terminator 2.

1080i is a yes too. But, if your resolution does not support it, the squeeze may not appear as good as the lower res which may fit your screen better.

Use Nero Showtime for pretty much flawless 1080i playback. I know its hard to believe, its far better than both vlc and quciktime at present.

Does VLC include Apple handlers or does it use generic MP4 decoding after renaming the MOV file? QT decoder is good but the QT player drags performance down for some reason -or did a couple minor revisions ago anyway... when the decoder otherwise worked well with other players like MPC. So yeah, most Windows users would be well served by the QuickTime Alternative codec package and the player of their choice (MPC is included). Ahead/Ateme's decoder is good and Nero ShowTime performs well but I prefer the simple but powerful MPC. Did I mention MPC?
