Download DVR harddrive

I have a Comcast DVR that has several NASCAR races my son likes...i would like to know how I can access and download the harddrive and take those files off...

There appears to be several plugs in the back and 1 looks like a firewire plug...Do I do a capture off of it???

On a more risky method is there a way to crack the box open and hook up the harddrive to download it???

Any ideas let me know.

Take out the HD from the DVR and hook it up to your PC . . . (via IDE)

You can't really transfer from DVR to your PC because of copy-right restrictions . . .

Hmm, do a search on your comcast DVR model, mine has hacked drivers that allow me to rip via the firewire port.

Just like the man said rip from the firewire output. Chances are the output might already be active since Firewire was a Output before DVI killed it, then HDMI started killing DVI.
