If you can't get into the BIOS to turn off UEFI, then maybe try this and see if it helps:
Power off and remove the hard drive.
Power on and select the BIOS setup option. You should now be able to turn UEFI
Off and set your boot order. I do not see any way they can lock you out of the BIOS
if a hard drive is not installed. Some options must be set there before any OS is installed.
