I could not believe my eyes. Federer wasn't just beaten tonight, he was dominated. Great match for anyone who stayed up to watch it.

Watched it. Both played great tennis; Novak won because Federer dumped an extraordinary number of shots into the net. I haven't seen that many unforced errors from him in a long time.

Federer had 38 winners to 32 unforced errors; in all his previous matches, he's usually had double the number of winners to errors.

Give credit to Novak, he simply outplayed Federer from start to finish. Federer was trying his best out there to win in the 3rd set and Novak still beat him. This was a 1st class beatdown, Federer must be thinking "WTF JUST HAPPENED?".

if you watched the match a few nights ago where Federer had to pull the win in the fifth set 10-8, you could see that his mind just wasn't in it. He didn't seem focused. But you know this guy is going to come back with a vengence. He might just need some time off. And this was the way to get it.

I'm glad he lost. I was hoping Djokovich would have beat him in the US Open, but glad to see it finally happened.

This new kid (forgot his name but he so looks like Mohammed Ali) seems to be hot. Should be a good match.

Not the biggest fan of watching it, but I do enjoy playing it. I'd probably watch it more if I knew what channel it was on (that has to be a basic network channel... no cable FTW). But I don't see what makes tennis worse than watching a bunch of guys in tight-tight pants all running around to jump on another man to grab his ball?
