if it ever got that bad, which it won't. You would just be saving a lot of toilet paper.

Alright, I'll bite. How the hell did you manage that ???

I make next to nothing. $20,000 is a really good year for me. Once you take school deductions (which I'm always in), kid deductions (which I've had since age 23), and standard deductions you don't begin to owe taxes until about $24k.

I'm pouring more money in. It's buy, buy, buy time.

Agreed, I'm considering DCA'ing with some index funds for the eventual recovery.

CNBC just reported that 50% of the 700 stocks that were on the exchange since 1973 are now at 10 year lows. Broad based selloff to say the least!

80% of all stocks are owned by the top 1% of the people. 90% are owned by the top 5%. Not much left for the rich to own.

Intraday isn't nearly as important as the close. If it closes below 11,000, people will come home and think about this all weekend...and then will panic sell like hell on Monday morning!

A few weeks ago I estimated DJIA 9000 will be coming. If that does happen (9000 or under), I'll be there very hapilly with my wallet open buying up as much as I can.

I've regretted for years that I was still in school and had no money in 2003. I am not missing out again this time.

Because your dollars are buying more shares. It's like a discount sale. If you are young and aren't going to retire for 40+ years, market dips like this are good.

That said, just because something is cheap doesn't mean it's a good deal.

Are you happy when Newegg has a 50% off sale? Are you happy when Macys has a clearance?

So why would you not be happy when the stock market has a sale? Buy low sell high, youll have plenty of time for the market to go back up before you retire. And if you're that close to retiring, you shouldnt have that much money in stocks anyway.

IMHO the last hour of trading is going to be interesting. THe last few big declining days have had huge drops int he last hour. Itll be interesting to see how many people are going to be hanging on over the weekend. Rumors abound of a bailout plan being announced over the weekend, if that happens, look for the dollar to tank and oil/gold to jump.
