DOW 14,000????????????????????

Yesterday was a crazy push. I was really thinking that today would see the Dow drop 100+, but right now it's up 2X.XX.

It's funny because I can imagine the trading floors with a Slavedriver running around with whips going "Come on your pansies! 14k is almost there....BUY! BUY! BUY! We can do it! PUSH!"

What does the 14k mark do?

Make you rich if you invested properly 😀

Haven't you been following the other Stock Market threads?
OMG, at least half of ATOT are millionaires by now!!!
According to most of the posters in those threads, the Market merely needs to rise for "them" to get rich. As soon as they see this thread, they'll all rush to check their "portfolios" (Read: 401Ks).
Individual stocks seem to be over their heads.

Closed at 13,907.25. I bet there will be profit-taking Monday morning that will drive it back down a few hundred points.

OTOH, maybe it will go up another 47.73 points to 13950.98. What do I know?

Buying individual stocks is generally foolish for retirement. You lose so much in brokerage fees and other crap that you're just better off investing in a well-diversified no-load passive mutual fund like a Vanguard fund.

But what would I know. That's just what my degree is in and I only worked in the industry.
