Doubt about dual boot (even after the updated FAQ)

Hi guys

I'm doing this way, I have a 60Gb HD, I've made 3 partitions:

1st- 30gb Win 2k FAT32 (professional apps)
2nd- 20Gb WinMe FAT32 (only for gaming)
3rd- 10Gb Personal data FAT32

When I format it, I use a Windws 98SE bootable disk to format the 1st and 2nd partition, but in the 1st partition I use the option /s to be bootable, because I have in my 3rd partition the installation files for both OSs, allowing me to install them with no CD at all (I do this because it's faster, pratical and I've installed the Service Pack2 into the installation files)

The 1st OS I've installed is Windows Me, but I install it on the second partition but it still leaves the boot files on the 1st partition.

The 2nd OS is (obviously) Win2k, I do in this order because after Win2k start to install, it creates the boot menu (which one I've used once to include the Linux option in the past)

In this scenario, if I convert my 1st partition to NTFS, will I be able to boot into Windows Me again?

Thanks guys (BTW, AnandTech Rules!) ;)

Your first partition, C:, must remain FAT32.

What I do when dual booting is create a Boot Partition as C:
and then create D, E, and F

I have never done this with NTFS, but I do not see why it shouldn't work?

My boot partitition is usually 500mb - 1gb. The reason I make it so big is just in case I goof up and allow some program to
keep C:\?? as its default download directory.

I think this is what you need to do. But hope andy will reply if this is right or not.
