Double standards?

So I got a weeks vacation (which I completely deserved because I lost my cool) because I called someone that constantly insults everyone on this board a dumb mother fucker and made fun of his British slang, even though I edited it out within a minute or two. The only reason that I got the vacation was because someone was quick enough to quote me before I came to my senses and edited out the insult. But now you have a Mod posting this....

Yes, he was responding to someone making fun of his song, but when I got my vacation I was also responding to someone insulting me. I'm not quite sure how its fair that I got a ban for what I did, but you have a senior mod acting like this. At least I edited out my insult.

In the referenced thread, Deudalus started the name calling. As far as I am concerned Harvey is posting as a member but you guys are attacking him because he is a mod. Deny it all you want . I personally am getting tired of this thread. You guys have a problem with Harvey, go to Derek. Do not start another Harvey thread, unless you want time off, because I will consider the next one a mod call out, and you all know what that means.

Yea, thats why I edited it out after a couple of minutes of cooling off. Nice to see that you think that telling someone to EAT SHIT FUCK OFF AND DIE is perfectly fine though. I'll have to remember that.

BTW, the "go suck on a i love you mate" was in response to him (the poster that I was responding to) giving someone shit for using American slang, its not as bad as it looks taken out of context. I guess I should have told him that I hope he gets shot on his next patrol (he is in Afghanistan) instead, then maybe I wouldnt' have gotten a vacation....

I explained that above. The poster that I was responding to was a brit that had a problem with American slang so I was making fun of his British slang. I realized that it was in bad taste and that it would probably be misunderstood by most, so I edited my post within a couple of minutes. Unfortunately for me, he quoted me while/before I edited my post. I will not make that mistake again. In the future I will be more polite and just tell someone to eat shit and then hope that they die.
