I know how to do this but I refuse to tell you because you didn't post in the moderated sponsored "I wanna" forum.

---

I am getting tired of seeing ridiculous, mean, useless posts like this. He has a link to the deal, so you have no complaint.

Either be nice, or be gone.

What? My God, the attitudes in here amaze me. I was browsing the Dell site and I thought this was pretty cool. Sorry.

Edit: This is also not a IWANNA post. If someone posts about a cheap digital camera and someone else replies with something along the lines of "if you do the deal through staples you can apply a coupon for more savings!", does that mean the first post was a IWANNA? I don't think so. Forgive me for wanting user interaction and participation.

sygyzy: good post. I have a friend who just purchased a Gateway. He would only buy a brand name with a good warranty and the $ off some systems might have swayed him.

Kraeji: sygyzy posted a POTENTIAL deal and asked if someone could put it to use. I see no problem in that.

I browsed through their website a while ago already. I think it's better if you choose their Inspiron 3800 with an Intel PIII 700,10G,64MB,8x DVD, 12.1" screen for roughly cheaper, let's say 1362 delivered. But now they've doubled their discounts but they have taken something else out. Now they have taken the DVD out so it's bascically the same, you would have to pay for the DVD. Probably you would have to pay for somethingelse on that LS.

This is indeed a good deal ... despite the fact that "peeps" is a jerk. I have yet to see a single post from him with any merit.

---

I am particularly sad to see this kind of trash from the guy who was thoughtful enough to send us a proposed FAQ for our Hot Deals forum. I think that FAQ will have to include a few comments about basic courtesy.

Edit: Peeps edited his post to withdraw his nasty comments about the thread originator. My comment should NOT look like an unprovoked attack ... it wasn't. Those who know me will know that ...

If you go through the "home systems" site, they currently have a free DVD-ROM upgrade (until 1/17) and FREE SHIPPING (until 1/22). It's probably a better deal to go there as I believe they charges sales tax through the small business site.

Hey, SuperRob, why the nasty post? I'm just trying to support the guy. Maybe you were so quick to criticize you didn't read very carefully.

I guess I'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt, which is more than you gave me.

Lighten up, SuperRob. It's just people communicating on a forum. Not everyone is going to say exactly what you want to read, OK?

Should be able to combine w/ free shipping from Dell Home systems and get Intel Celeron 700 Mhz system for $469 (+ tax?).

If you read the small business double online discount and home free shipping discount, only the home discount says you have to order through home. The double online discount in the small business center doesn't limit the discount to the small business center.

You'll have to call and negotiate with Dell over the phone, but legally it should work.

Offer ends 1/18

Peeps, y do you feel you have to go and talk trash about people you don't even know? Does it make you feel better about yourself? I'm not making any judgements here, but I am willing to speak up when I see someone rudely making comments with no backing.

By the way, SuperRob, your site IS nice...I'd like to make my own little home on the net, but I just don't have the time to deal with it and keep it updated.

Bruin--you're obviously feeding off SuperRob's nasty attitude. Lighten up and read more carefully please.

If I took your words incorrectly, I apologize, but the demeanor of your comments led me to believe that your 'compliment' was 'sarcastic'. As I said, I apologize if I was wrong.

As to time on my hands...I'm at work, being productive...I take a break every once in a while, and when I see things I want to react to, I do.

go check out dell refurbished, current deal $100 off, same stuff (almost, seems only older models were available which also adds to the cheaper price). I'm not sure if they give you laptops with dead pixels that are returned though, but they carry the same warranty. I found a Inspiron 5000 celeron 500 w/ 15" for $1154. i assume for the small business discount would not be allowed, since you're already getting a "doubled discount" of $50->$100 and a dvd instead of $100. don't forget dash or ebates or whatever.

Enter EValue code 03829-590106 to get the setup.

Edit to add the $100 discount, remove the monitor.

It doesn't matter. Dell shipping and taxes are a HUGE RIPOFF!!! And I don't think anyone could convince them to combine free shipping with the online discount.
