Double breasted suits and pleated pants look pretty terrible

Flip through any men's magazine today and you will not find a single double breasted suit being worn. Not surprise since they do not look good. 2 or 3 button single breasted suit FTW. And only rappers or a chump wears 4 or more button suits.

This morning I tried an old pair of pleated pants to see how they look compared to all my other flat front pants. Made me look like I was wearing mc hammer pants as the top was way too wide and tapered narrowly down to the bottom opening. That pair of pleated pants is certainly getting toss.

Any one agree?

I no longer have my own opinion on clothing. My wife tells me what looks good on me and that works well enough. :)

A quality suit pant is always pleated.

Flat front / Non-pleated is a fad.

I do agree to some extent.

The double breasted suits are kind of out now and don't look modern. Most men choose the single breasted suit because it is much more slimming.
I don't think i have ever seen a NICE pair of dress paints without pleats though.
Dockers, that is a different story.

Nah, it's acceptable...you're a man and you have impeccable taste in historical and war films. So any clothing mishaps are allowed. ;)

Personally, I'm not colorblind but I am colorstupid. :D

In five years you'll be posting the other way around.
Fashion comes and goes.
What's out now is top styling next time around.

As for colors, I stick with the basics and try not to hurt myself. :p
I can tell though when I get the "You're really gonna wear that out?" look from the SO though. ;)

My standard question when getting dressed to go out with the wife is: "Will you be seen with me wearing this?" That way I don't have to interpret eyerolls and head shakes. ;)

Im no fashion guru, but these are no no's:

1: Bluetooth headset
2: Popping collars (I did this a few years ago, but it's old now)

Can't think of anything else at the moment.

Pleated pants look so terrible. I constantly see young, professional, skinny IT guys wearing pleated pants and a tucked in shirt that's pulled WAY too far out of their pants and it's always good for a nice laugh.

I can't find any info saying a suit pant must be pleated. Only that the whole suit must be tailored from the same material and color. Personally I do not like the look of pleated pants.
