Dots sticking all over car

So apparently all over my car is a bunch of dots that are sticking to the exterior, even the windows. It seems to come off with some water though. I have two theories as to what it is.

1. Pollen. I've had this car for 6 years now and this would be the first time that pollen has stuck to my car if this is the case.
2. A day before I noticed the pollen, I had gotten a super wash at the car wash. They apply some sort of wax coating to the car. Being that this is the only other thing that covers the whole car, I'm wondering if it's possible for something to have happened here? (not exactly sure what tho'...)

So yeah, I'm assuming it's pollen, but the fact that this is the only time I ever got the "super" wash makes it a bit suspect as well.
 
Well this stuff is all over the car. Probably 1/4th an inch max separates one dot from another. I don't think tree sap would cover a whole car?
 
Usually tree sap, being quite sticky, doesn't wash off simply by using water.....which is why sap removers are sold. Solvents, they are. If what ever it is is simply being taken off by a rinse of water, it certainly cannot be tree sap.

You are correct. I always thought it was a form of tree sap but it turns out it is probably from aphids.

Well just to clarify - my "rinse of water" really was me spitting on my finger and wiping the window to see if it'd come off. It came off, but did smear slightly. 😱

Tiny baby spiders weave a little web to float off on the breeze, landing by the hundreds on cars leaving little dots where they abandoned their little baby web sails
