The Dothan 1.6 only costs $240...

But is SuperPI really a measurement of performance? I've seen 3GHz FX-55's that still get 28s on the 1M test.

Motherboard - EPoX 9NPA+ Ultra - $105
Processor - AMD64 3000+ Venice - $145

Total - $250 USD
 
This is great for all those benchmark whore at extremesystems who live to have the PC only run this benchmark.....wonderful news!!!
 
I like it, I personally think it's the best thing Intel makes these days.... That's the same CPU as in my laptop.... If I was doing a system build it would be hard to pass up doing something like this.

AMD version:
Asus A8N-E = 155$
A64 3000+ Venice = 185$

Total = 340$ CDN
Total = 279$ USD

Either way, I prefer the AMD way.
