DOTA

dota is fantastic but regular warcraft is a lot funner if youre good...

I'd like to think I'm pretty good at both, but I think I prefer DoTA, it seems to be a bit more dynamic (to me at least).

DoTA is great. My roommates and I are practically addicted to it. It's amazingly fun for what it is.

I play it!! So addicting. I uninstalled though since I didn't have anyone to play with anymore.

I also sing the BassHunter song. Yeah I'm awesome.

I still remember the original that started it all on Starcraft. It was called Aeon of Strife and was one sided. All players fought on the "losing" side and had to build up and defend the lanes. It got harder as time went on so basically you had about an hour time limit before the enemy just swamped you with elite units. It was well designed for the most part. The main flaw seemed to be that it was very hard and basically could only be won using the zergling as hero unit. What I miss about it that is not in Dota was the large numbers of enemies to kill each spawn time. Dota only has about 5-6 per spawn and slow respawns.

Warcraft > DOTA, but DOTA is insanely fun. It's still realllllllllllly imbalanced though.

I've gotta disagree completely. Especially after 49 with the new int items. I'm curious as to what you think is so unbalanced? More often than not, the people I see complain just don't know the game well enough. Once you've got every item, hero (spells/stats/builds) down, it's not hard to own with just about anyone (save for MAYBE Ezalor). Sure, it's still a bit easier to own with SA/Clinkz/Mort/etc. than it may be with certain other heroes, but when I play they all seem pretty much the same to me. Of course, I've spent months where I had no other games to play doing nothing but a couple dota games a day.
