That Russian player wasn't terribly great, but he never trolled. It'll be as hit/miss as it generally is with anyone.

LoL requires 'masteries' or something like that which gives you unfair advantage for no reason. You just have to grind until level 30~ to be on even playing field. You also have to pay / unlock heroes.

Dota 2 has all abilities & heroes available from get-go. Outside of picks and laning, everyone is on even play field and all up to the skills.

Masteries are one of the best way to have fun customizing your character. Runes are another aspect. Getting levels is super easy. It's like an extensive training.

My personal opinion League of Legends is the finest quality game. Easy to learn hard to master. Fun factor over 9000

We played a game with a guy the other night who couldn't pronounce a bunch of words. He kept yelling at everyone to "go hooonglay". We all told him we had no idea WTF he was talking about. He eventually typed "jungle". Native English speakers need to have servers that require a written and spoken test. Can't stand getting into games with people that can't communicate at all.

Just started. 9 wins in a row. But I'm only playing with Lion. Is he like OP or something? Cos ice not yet lost my lane. Heck I've even gone 2 v 1 and still emerged with a win lane. But in think that might be because of the early level noobness. I find it hard to believe why people would get into pvp without playing against bots or famiarizing themselves with the game first. Anyways, back to my question, but is Lion OP. I usually Q + auto + Ult and it's over. Combine this with a Dagon and you get an extra 400 burst. I know he's not as effective late game since he doesn't have an escape mechanism. But how do you counter him early game? I know I may have to face a Lion sometime in the future. And I'd be too scared to even be near him.

I'm doing the A-Z challenge and hating life right now. Blew through the first 3 guys and now I've been stuck on Axe for 6 games. My play seems to be fine - I just keep getting dumped into awful groups. Just lost a game on a team with a Phantom Lancer that went 3-20 and a Keeper of the Light that was level 13 at 60 minutes. This is draining my will to play.

Lion isn't really OP at all, he a pretty decent support and noob pwner though. He is kinda limited by the long ass cd on his lvl 1 ult and his fairly high mana costs. His q is fairly short range also. To play against lion you just really need to stay out of range of his q or buy some early hp or keep track of when he has used his lvl 1 ult cause of the long cd. You probably can't prevent him from getting 1 or 2 kills early but unless he is fed his damage really drops off.

Btw lina does more burst on shorter cds than lion at any level really, but her stun is harder to land and her attack animation is the shittiest in the game.
 
The high mana costs is not a problem since u can E a caster minion. It pretty much gives you your entire mana back with 2 E uses. But I know what you're talking about with the short cd and the small range. I got pawned the other day by a bot Viper on hard mid lane. I need to try out other champs as well. Thanks 🙂

It's a team game, and you'd probably be on a 6 game losing streak even if you hadn't picked Axe every game.

Chaos Knight took me 6 or 7 games to ge through, and Meepo took me 10 games. Some losses were my fault, some weren't. But if it is no longer fun, maybe you should stop the A-Z.
 
Pretty new to this type of game watched some youtube stuff before i jumped in. I started with Drow Hunter. Still getting a handle on how to upgrade and spend points. I like its mostly a passive built champion. For the frost arrow, is it a active abilty that toggles on with Q, or do i need to hit Q each time to use it? Was a bit confused when trying to use the life steal helm.
 
I just got The Treasure of the Forgotten Lotus and apparently the only way to open it is with a key and on the store it costs 2$ . Any other way i can get my hands on this key?
 
Is there stuff you get at the end of matchs or stuff to unlock? I seen i got something for another toon, not sure what it was. Are they mostly cosmetic stuff?

Alt Q will toggle the autocast on arrows.

Hmm ok so Q just use's it once? Alt Q will make it so all my autofire arrows have frost? Then if i want to use my helm i need to hit Alt Q to cancel the effect? Are there any signs to tell if they are being hit with the frost arrows besides watching to see if they are moving slower?

Yea. I'm not sure you need to cancel it for the helm, but I don't really know. The fired arrows will glow blue, and there will be a rotating sparkle around the icon for frost arrow while it's set to autocast.

Ok cool i was trying to watch but could not really tell. I will try some tonight.

Any good melee rogue type champions that are somewhat n00b friendly?

I know, I've been playing Dota and Dota 2 forever. I just find Axe incredibly boring to play. Adding to that is his role as a tank initiator that's very dependent on other people doing the big damage late game. Getting grouped up with people that can barely understand a recipe just makes it incredibly frustrating.
