DOS under Win2k?

Is there any way to run DOS apps under Win2k? Not games or anything, just some simple DOS apps that I don't have Windoze counterparts for.

CMD is the emulated DOS Command Prompt under WinNT/Win2K/WinXP.

Most small apps that do not require direct hardware access should be able to run.

Everyone who posted here. THERE IS NO DOS IN ANY NT BASED OS. Dos only existed with Windows 98 SE. The CMD command is a terminal, not dos. You can do almost everything Dos does and more. Please get it right.

Yeah...but...A) Andy said "emulated" and besides the question was how do I run simple DOS apps under Win2000.
You do that by using the CMD command line.
What's the problem?

Besides DOS existed lots of places other than Win98SE. WinME, Win98, Win95 and DOS 6.22 and earlier. If you are going to criticize others at least get your facts straight.

linman: Please read my post carefully.

People should know by now I DO NOT make mistakes like that.
