Dos on Win2k

I seem to be having trouble running some old dos games that I have. Either it doesn't run or sound does not work. Can anyone help?

There are some hacks to get them to work, but they're iffy mostly the games are just too out dated. DOS games routinely try to work directly on the hardware because DOS allowed that, NT doesn't and any app that tries to bypass the OS like that either gets killed or doesn't run properly.

after some searching i found a program called DosBox. It configures sounds and lets you run programs on xp or 2000 as if you were running them in dos. it's pretty nifty.

I remember reading a guide about playing old games in 2000/XP... perhaps you try to find it in abandonware game sites!!

But I DosBox works for you, that cool!!
