DOS Games and newer OSes What to do?

I *manage* several computers that are still on XP (They are capaible of running 7,8,8.1 ETC) but my friends & family still insist that I install XP each time they break the OS install
The only real requirement is that they play and old 16 - Bit DOS game from 1990 and that they can browse YouTube and Facebook and the internet in general.

So the DOS game is a tough one to figure out for me
as it will not work on Windows 7 at all
I have tried X86 and X64 and the X86 says the game will not support Full Screen mode and it then exits the game

So other then giving up on those old fun games is there a way to migrate then to a newer OS?

PS: I said *Manage* because I am the only computer geek in my family and I also help out a couple of friends with tech support

Thanks all the problem is now solved with the help of DOSBox and the people of this forum for pointing me to such a cool program
