Didnt exactly fit in any forum IMO. (MODs feel free to move)

I am looking for a DOS compatible laser printer, just something that will last. Any ideas?

If you can find an IBM LaserPrinter 4019 (eBay, perhaps), get one. They're built like tanks, and with a memory upgrade, they'll be able to handle anything you throw at them from Windows too. My family had one for 10+ years.

Any older HP should do the trick; like a 4+ or something. Actually, shouldn't pretty much anything with a parallel port support DOS printing?

The LaserJet 1160 is a decent lower-end printer, 20ppm, parallel port, and appears to support DOS.

Most laser printers still support PCLIII and other specs.
Let's say you have a DOS version of Wordperfect 5.1 that you cannot live without. Try this. Use a HP LaserJet 3/4 driver (the newest you can find) and print to a HP LaserJet 1120. You will find that it will print, but will be limited by the older drivers (ie. resolution and options).
I have done this sort of thing very sucessfully with HP laser printers.

Good Luck,
David

Any corporate level printer should.

HP 4000/4050/4100/4200/4300 all work fine, just use a 4+ driver.

Any decent HP printer with LPT support will likely work.

ViperGTS is absolutly correct.
