I have a project I have done in my class and I don't know if it will fit though the door its 29.35 inches wide this building was converted from a hospital to a school so what is the average width of a hospital door?

I would think most are at least 30 inches to accomodate a wheelchair, but of course you have to take off an inch for the door stop and edge of the door if it does not open flush against the wall its on.

Most modern hospitals are probably even wider, in the 36-40" range.

The standard for hospital beds seems to be 39" wide. Some google research said minimum door width requirements in hospitals is 49" wide.

How old is the hospital? I'd say the doors are at least 36" wide. I stayed in a Bed & Breakfast that was converted from an old hospital once and the doors were at least three feet wide.
