Initially I found the game somewhat enjoyable, I now find it tediously repetitive and boring. I'm just starting the Site 3 level and am contemplating hanging it up now.
Is there anything worthwhile or interesting from the Site 3 level on to the end?
***UPDATE***
Welp, I went ahead and finished Doom3 and I can't say it was worth it . Does Doom3 have a revolutionary game engine? Yes. Visually, it is one of the most beautiful games I've seen. But how any game magazine could give it a rating of over 70%, is beyond me. With a replay value of next to zero and the ever-so-overused 'teleport demons in behind you' or 'open door have something jump in your face' schemes, I'd be hard pressed to give it 70%.
To be honest, it seems like it would have been really easy to improve the game without doing much. Why did every room have bad guys in it? For me, less, more powerful monsters would have added to the 'mood'. As in, having a couple rooms of nothing going on and then monsters that you would have to fight hard to kill.
As I said previously, after the first few levels I found it tediously repetitive and I did all the way up to the end.
