Trailerr can be viewed wither way. One thing is for sure. The ol' Alien egg trailer was scarier.

I'm pretty much convinced that the movie is going to be more faithful to the video game than people think. It will be stretched though. Doom was based on teleportation experiments. Teh movie clearly is not though.

Exactly what I was going to say. It's the Resident Evil movie without the hot chick kicking ass and slightly (ever so slightly that is) different monsters. Weak. I'll still watch it on ActionMAX though when it hits cable by the end of the year. 😀

Doom's strong point has never been plot. But what there is of the plot involves a teleporter being built on Mars, which passes through Hell. It's not just a Doom trademark, but it's actually a pretty decent concept.

This idea of the "last 10% of the human genome being sequenced" leading to Hell somehow just sounds like rubbish.

I guess they are trying to be true the game by filming it like a first person shooter (watch the new trailer). But I think this is too gimicky. It's not going to go over well.
