hey, i was just wondering if someone with the game could tell me which widescreen resolutions are supported. particularly if wide PAL (1024x576) was in the list (wishful thinking, i know). Also, whether the widescreen shows more or less than 4x3. Do they add stuff to the sides or just chop the top and bottom?

side note: I'm thinking of getting the following for my htpc rig, how do you think it would run?
barton 2500+ (non-oc)
8rda+ (i have one lying around)
512MB RAM
9800pro (256MB?)

You can setup custom resolutions using the cvars r_customHeight, r_customWidth, and r_mode.

seta r_customHeight "468"
seta r_customWidth "864"
seta r_mode "-1"

Ad these to your autoexec.cfg in the 'Base' directory.

the 256 is about 5% faster depending on the game, just like doom 3.

5% increase in performance is not worth 30% increase in price. either get the 9800 pro 128MB or go for a low end 6800
