You're really liking Win2k?Did you just switch over from 98 or something? I haven't seen anyone use windows 98 in at least 2 years. Even my grandmother doesn't use it anymore.

the last time i used win2k was back in the SP2 days. since then ive been trying really hard to "get happy" with WinXP. unfortunately i cant stand WinXP, so this time i decided to give Win2k another try insted of wasting my time with WinXP (again)..... and im really liking itOriginally posted by: SickBeast
Yah he's stubborn that way.
Because it's one less thing, ya know? There are overseas markets where 9x is still widely used. Hell, it's the only reason nV hasn't yanked support for it *from the horse's mouth* Being able to run D3 on 9x is a big deal for some of our members in those markets I'm certain. Not to mentioned that since it was officially stated that 9x wasn't a supported OS for D3, being able to run it is a cool hackOriginally posted by: ArmchairAthlete
How many people are gonna run Doom 3 on Win98? Good grief!
Bluescreens ahoy!

If you apply all the service packs and security updates to win2k, at uses just as much resorces as winxp, so i don't see much point in using it.

im really liking Win2k. i gotta get rid of those butt ugly boot screens tho
if you are going to run Doom III under Win9x youll need the latest drivers....
Doom III 1024x768, high qual
win9x 53.04 drivers = 22.8 fps
win9x 61.76 drivers = 36.1 fps
win2k 61.77 drivers = 51.1 fps
but at this point, its time to upgrade your OS.
