i suggest farcry personally 😉

but out of those, hl2 wins hands down 😉 (and you get CS:S with infinite play value 😀)
 
I'd also suggest Far Cry over either of the options you listed, but would suggest Doom 3 over Halflife 2; I found HL2 boring and not at all worth all the waiting & putting up with lies about the release date.
 
atleast Doom3 works on my computer, HL2 won't load due to some memory can't be read error, it seems to be fairly common with AMD 64s, but no one seems to be able to solve it...

Woah, I was thinking about buying it but guess not after reading your post.
 
HL2 looks better, a lot more fun to play, and actually has decent multiplayer, many ATOT night crew members have posts about CS:s games
 
CS:s is really fun (that part of my HL2 works, I just can't play the single player game) but I always go up against a team that has guys that can get a headshot from clear across the map, and I suck, so I end up dying alot, that kinda takes the fun from the casual player...
