Doom 3 vs HL2

Doom3 is much more polished, and cheaper than HL2 right now. However, HL2 offers much better gameplay, a multiplayer that doesn't blow, and its just plain more fun.

Doom3 has the graphics, but it runs like a pig and its just not that fun of a title. The single player was fun, but I doubt I'll ever play it again.
 
HL2 - no contest.

Trust me, I only know 2-3 people that actually finished Doom3. Not because its that horrible or anything, but because 90% of the people who play it - will get bored before it even becomes exciting.

Me personally - I thought the game was complete crap. I'm just glad I found that out before I went out and bought it like I did with HL2. You will not regret buying HL2. I've beaten the game twice, probably 12 hrs the first time through and less the second time. I've also put countless hours into CS:S, which is my utter addiction. Not to mention how many countless hours I'll put into DOD:S as soon as it comes out. Best $50 I can remember spending on a video game, EVER.
 
I didn't like Doom3 that much. I got sick of playing and noclipped through the rest of the game.
Also, I haven't played that much HL2, but what I played was quite fun and enjoyable, unlike D3. Also, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory is a great game. And I suggest if you like stealth type of games. Maybe, check that out sometime.

:thumbsup: Agreed; best deal ever. It was worth it just for Half-Life 2. Another copy of Half-Life was just icing on the cake.
 
Excellent poll. . . wewt. . . till less than 50 mins to go. Get in on the poll while you can. . . hahaha, even though I dont think D3 will be making a comeback.

Far Cry is a great game too (especially if you take into consideration how cheap it is now), if a bit silly. I still like HL2 better, though.
