Doom 3 takes 22 hours to finish

BFG10K

How do I know this? Because it told me when I finished replaying it:

I like the BFG edition even more than the original. Also playing at 3840x2160 is really nice.

D3 was a long game. I remember getting about 10 hours into it and then I turned on god mode to get to the end.

Yep, Doom 3 was way too long. First couple of hours were fun but then it became a slog. I only beat it once, on god mode, just to see the ending.

Is that the game that roughly ten hours in sent you to Hell? (Literally sent you to Hell, with jumping puzzles when I can't see my legs.) Don't think I finished it, although after installing the all-too-necessary duct tape mod (seriously, a Marine unable to hold both a pistol and a flashlight?) I remember it as a stupid but pretty game with demons literally leaping out of lockers and AI more artificial than intelligent.

Hey can you post a screenshot of your graphics settings? I can't figure out which way to put the sliders ie. which way is max quality?

Doom 3 was/is a fun game IMO, though different style from the classic Dooms. One of the great things about it was the great modding projects. Do they have those yet with the BFG edition?

Though the source code is different from the original Doom 3 there are mods for it.

The main reason Doom 3 felt so long was all the stupid cutscenes and also backtracking at least one full time in most levels.

Its not actually full of playable content, unlike Morrowind which was also on one CD and had about 200 hours of play.
