Hm... I believe everything except that you were authorized to sell it. Do you really interact with activision directly? Isn't there a central BB warehouse that distributes? How many people have an activision rep's number at best buy?

Actually I was responding to calls for my banishment and attacks on my credibility, do you think I CARE if you are pissed off because you didnt get it first? no. I just wanted my fellow anandtechers to maybe get it tommorow morning and share the joy with me, i didnt have to sneak out this message while on duty or waste 20 mins of game time to post screens ya know! Anyway folks check you local best buy, if they say no, TELL THE MEDIA MANAGER TO CALL HIS/HER ACTIVISION REP for authorization! YMMV may the force be with you, ITS DOOM TIME!!!

I don't know what the hell your problem is, but he's not the only one 'freaking' out over a game. Go to any forum gaming section, including this one (software), and you'll see dozens of threads on Doom 3. How is this any different than say people anticipating the Superbowl? World Series? World Soccer Championships?

Update: The Brooklyn Center BB was told by the corporate office to recall Doom 3. Two employees there confirmed it, so I got the shaft 🙁.
 
bad news folks, got into work this morning, found out activision called and reinstated the embargo, but on the bright side, we got 28 copies out the door before it happened, one dude walked out with 3 as they were pulling the display down, lol
