It is the end of the month. Maybe he'll get charged on his CC for it before the refund goes through. I've done a few non paying bidder refunds and it takes a while. Send a reminder after 3 days, wait another 10, blah, blah, blah.

So, whats the deal on early release ? (an edit on the first post never hurts...?)

I have been out of town, but am now back in. Do all bestbuys have copies on hand, and they are just being held in the back until August 3 or August 4 ?

Do I have a chance of being at my bestbuy when they open tomorrow and picking up a copy of Doom3 (Humble, TX store) ?

Well, most BB stores have had them in stock for a few days now. They just can't sell any til the 4th or they get fined.

Actually, the ad seems to say the game will not be available until the 6th, so a price match should be possible. More likely, though, the ad was placed before a final release date was confirmed. CC should have it when everyone else does, and I am sure they will honor the price.
 
This post is not BS. I bought Doom3 at the Madison, WI East side Best Buy, as did Gururu, who was lucky enough to see my post. If you live near there, you can go buy it too.

I guess Im just "moaning" about everyones "bragging" about getting D3 since you cant get it near my house, or anywhere else for that matter since BB pulled em after Gamespot computer glitch early release.
 
Well, I didn't go look for it, but I am just going to wait until August 3rd and get it at CC. $45 is a good price! In order for BB to sell it at the $45 price, CC must have it in stock. At least that has been my luck in this arena.

Anyway, sometime this week I will have it! 🙂
 
My friend also got a copy of it tonight, installed on my laptop but no dice. Its all choppy. I think i could run it on low if i had another 128 ram...... but it just wouldnt be worth it to run it on low....
 
im interested in the target price because i have a 41% off rain check there that I want to use -

dont know anything about targets PM policy -- anyone???

Yeah, I'm hoping my system will run it well enough... P4 3.0 HT 800Mhz FSB w/ 512 MB RAM, 9800 PRO 128. Been looking for an excuse to upgrade to 1 or 2 GB of RAM though. 🙂

They don't have one. They stopped price matching over a year ago.
 
picked mine up saturday, but i shouldn't have bothered. Is anyone else disappointed with this game? Scary for about 20 minutes, then it gets predictable and repetitive. About half way done with the game, and it feels like another Unreal 2. But with undead, and crappy lighting.

Yeah I totally agree with you...so sell me your copy for $25-$30 and move on to a real game. 🙂
