ATI sold pre-order 9700Pro cards with Doom3 coupon at QuakeCon 2002 (and a few other events IIRC). It was a special edition box, even had the QuakeCon logo on it.

Yes they did. ATi sold them at Quakecon 2002. You would get Doom3 Free with purchase of the card. 😛

and if i have the cd version, would it really be worth it NOW to get the dvd version?

Has anyone actually ordered this? I just tried - its asking me for my cc and says the final price is $64.98 ($9.99 S&H). I see nothing about free shipping, just something about a free pewter figurine to blow up in the microwave.

Well just got a gamer mag says Doom3 is coming out in may. So we know it's should come out some time in the next 3 months.

LOL, I paid $69.99 for Mortal Kombat for the SNES back in the day...

And who can forget Virtua Racing for the Sega Genesis with the next-gen "FX" chip or whatever it was called? I never had a Genesis but I remember seeing that game in a catalog for $80-$100...
 
If they are saying this having a ship date only a month away, they must be pretty sure that it is coming out withing the next few months.

just to add more info (on top of what was already posted). Its teh Quakecon Limited Edition 9700. $449 and it came with a ATI Remote Control Wonder also (+ Doom 3)
