Assuming that the two would meet, eventually, say the half life creatures took over earth and the fleet carrying the legions of hell arrived in earth orbit and they began a slug fest.

try to look at this from an unbiased few of the games, focus on the powers of each species

Not counting any fanboy-ism throughtout each series/game...

I'd say Doom3.

I'm going to go with the Half-Life aliens. Most everything in Doom 3 will go down with one load of buckshot.

Thats 3 of you right there.

Why is Doom3 still winning 6-3? I know there was 3 for HL2 when I voted, and posted before both of you. (It was 2-3, HL2s favor when I voted)

You're a total geek for asking this question. I'm an even bigger geek knowing this and answering the poll. :p

even with the advantage of a surprise attack (darkness, small corridors), the demons in D3 are beatable without losing too much health. If you get surprised by, say, one of the blue dudes in HL2, you'll be flamethrower'd to death before you know it.

Seriously what better tactic do you have then using the enemies forces against them.

Isn't the end-boss in D3 only beatable with a soulcube? I'd say that right there makes it way tougher than those HL pansies.

the huge, blue, armor-plated thing with the back that looks sort of like a nautilus. Has flamethrower arms, a weird homing red thing, and is only beatable with a *TON* of explosives, airstrike, or really, really high voltage electrocution.
