Doom 3 Demo freezing up on me. Help!

Hello.

I can't even start playing this game without the game freezing up on me. I have to restart the computer every time. I have 29 processes running in the background and I have Norton turned off. Can anyone help? See my computer specs below.

do you have the current drivers for your video card?

and a friend of mine tried to install the retail version on his D: drive and the game kept crashing (he was changing the install directory). he went and googled the problem and i guess it wasn't too rare. so if you're trying to change the install dir, go with the default one and see if that helps

Sorry for the obvious, but! Are you using updated motherboard & vid drivers?

Have you tried w/o the OC? Maybe the PC 2100 can't handle FSB 140 with Doom 3

As an aside, I have D3 installed on my D: drive with no probs. Just finished the game this weekend

Yes, I have the lastest video drivers, but not the lastest motherboard drivers. I haven't try it w/out the OC. I guess there are a lot of things I can mess around with. As for the memory issue, I hope that's not the problem. If it is, the game is going to have to wait until I build my new system, but that's months away-oh well...
