Thief 1 or 2, Unreal 1, Battlezone 1 maybe 2, Duke 3D, Jedi Knight, Hexen... all FPS's that should have been remade long before Doom 3.. heck remake Doom 1 or 2 before 3, it's not that old.

Did you guys even watch the trailer?? it looks exactly like Doom 3 on PC 8 years ago.

I think this is just a report to x360 and ps3, and will not be improved on PC.

This. The graphics didn't look any better than what I saw in 2004. Or well what screenshots showed me in 2004, my 9700 pro didn't like Doom 3 at first

Removing the flashlight and adding ammo completely changes the game. It wouldn't be a Doom game if you weren't worried about ammo at all times.

Yep, I played it late night on Halloween, that way. Beat watching horror movies by orders of magnitude.

Doom had far fewer unexpected spawns right behind you or in a corner, much more open rooms, lots of color, the Chook mod, and ever-hoarded Aliens TC.

Serious Sam TFE and TSE (haven't got BFE) are much more like the old Doom than Doom 3.

Yeah I would love a new Battlezone. I was obsessed with that game for ages in the 90s.

To do a Doom 2 remake they'd have to redo all the levels/models, which is pretty much like creating a whole new game. Doom 3 BFG edition is just the same game with an updated engine, not really a remake.
