just got it yesterday in an old bin at my local threft shop, thought the cover looked pretty cool so i threw it in the cart, paid only 5 dollars and 35 cents for it, came home and played it for over 40 hours in 1 sitting, it is super and the graphix are amazing!

This is the greatest game i have ever played, i pre-ordered it and recieved it in the mail yesterday. I will probably never stop playing this awesome game, it's so amazing, the only thing i don't like is the multiplayer setup where you have to let people join the game before you start, then play. Other than that it rocks!

This is a flamefest waiting to happen. There is no way in hell you could have obtained Doom III yet.

Also i would be interested as to how well it ran with a 5700. Because it will look like crap as youll have to turn off most all the detail.

i playd the demo doom iii dont ask how yes is very good u will love this game the sound and video quality are incredible good i have 2.5 ghz 512 ddr 400 250 hd nvidia geforce fx 5200 and lett me tell u this game rules i playd the demo at 60 fps and it looks very good fery fast game i dont like fps but this game is the best i seen so far and yes it will scare the hell out of u i mean it lool

That's total BS. I played it on an Athlon 3200+ with Radeon 9600XT, and my frame rate was really brutal. View some pictures with my frame rate in the bottom right corner:

WickeD, does your copy of Doom 3 actually let you save the game?


For the record, Doom 3 still looks pretty good with all the stuff turned way down. No shadows, 16-bit color, it still looks really nice. The game is a lot faster if you turn off shadows. That actually holds true for basically any game (Doom 3, BF1942, BF Vietnam, Neverwinter Nights, etc).

Yah as a matter of fact i did read the post.Also with over 500 successful post my self i am hardly anoob. So why dont you stop. Only people who really are desperate call other people noobs, its a pathetic insult.

All that happened was someone burnt the alpha to a CD and stuck a niufty cover on it. You did not get the real game. Only an Alpha!!

This kind of thread doesn't belong in the forums.

Also like i said earlier i did read the thread but i also look at your rig and i find it hard to believe the unoptimized alpha would run very well at all on you PC.

I never bring up amount of posts unti someone uses that lame ass word "noob". How can you call someone a noob who has over 500 posts. Eh? How would you like it if I called you a noob, you probably aren't with over 200posts.

Also how the hell is this "over my head" Guy walks into a store pays 5.35 for a burnt copy of an alpha leak, then claims to have bought the real Doom III. Dunno how that is over my head.

As for the successful posts things aren't exactly successful when you post stuff like somepeople are like "ATI (or Nvidia) are teh roxors" ,or i just bought a game that isn't going to be released for another month from a "threft" shop.

This entire thread should be locked as there is no useful information in it just flames, deception, trolling!

For the benefit of those who did not understand, the original poster did not get the game. He merely read a customer review from gamestop.
 
The OP is a quote from a Gamestop review. It is not from Wicked. Wicked does not claim to have the game. The idiots reviewing it at Gamestop are the ones claiming all this crap about D3.

I then followed up with another hilarious review from the same site.

Modepepe also posted a hilarious review.
