Doom 3 9.99

actually, it's just a preorder thing. the actual game is 59.99
I hope that's "MSRP" and not the price we'll be seeing Doom3 selling for in stores. I picked up Far Cry for $29.99 and UT2004 for $29.99 after MIR. If id thinks I'll pay $60 for Doom3 they are high...

When the game is released it will be $59.99 at the stores. I am sure someone will run sales but the base price will be the 60 bones. I asked someone when I seen that at best buy and it is just a preorder, and yes itdid seem to good to be true. I can't speak for others but as a college student I cannot afford $60 for a game. I will probably buy it once it comes down but not now. They would sell many many more copies if they started the price at 39.99 like UT2k4, far cry, and BF Vietnam did.

Look to me like this is the bonus pack containing a pewter figurine, a poster and a couple of coupons for $9.99 but, if you preorder the game for $59.99, you get this $9.99 pack for free.

here

id isn't high. They don't sell the game, Activivion or Atari does, and the distributor sets the price. Besides, its Doom3. They would get 80 bucks if they asked for it.

I seriously doubt that many people would pay $80.00 Personally, I will not pay over $20.00 for it. I don't mind waiting few months for a price drop.

Werd.

DOOM 3 with Bonus! $54.99 at EB and you get a pewter Pinky Demon instead of the Mancubus from BestBuy.

I'll definitely be waiting for the $29.99 specials though.

Tacking on an extra 10 bux to MSRP isn't very nice. I guess they figure after the money people spend on upgrading their hardware, they won't notice an extra $10 for the game. :disgust:

Doom 1 and 2 sucked IMHO. They are the only games to have actually forced me to take a nap after viewing its crappy graphics.... that and Vigilance.

Unfortunately true. But at $60 I know I can acquire it a few weeks after the release for half that.

I was very impressed with FarCry btw.

So you were too young when Doom1 and Doom2 came out. In thar era, they rocked.

Buy it for $60.00 the day it comes out, copy it, download no-CD crack, and put the original on ebay the same day for $50.00. End price = $10.00 + tax. I do this with every video game I buy.

Bye.

wpngscrs... you're an idiot then... you might as well download the game if you are gonna do that.. plus what happens when the game is primarily multiplayer? You just screw the person you sold it to and hope they don't get a "your CD key is in use?"

lol way to advertise illegal activities, anyone in the BSA.

With both Max Payne games (which obviously have no multiplayer component), I have bought the games on eBay, played all the way through, then uninstalled them and resold them on eBay for within $5 of my purchase price.

I admit I will buy D3 as soon as it comes out. I imagine one or more of the major vendors will have it discounted to $40-50 on its release, and I will get it from them.

Heck, I'm still waiting for Call of Duty to drop to <$25 and will prolly wait until they do a bundle with the expansion for $40.

I didn't think about the CD-key, I don't play online. Anyway, how is that illegal? I'm not selling the copy. It wouldn't be any different if I bought it, played through it, then sold it. I paid for the game to begin with so what is the problem?
