Don't you hate when you're playing a game and someone keeps telling you what to do?

"Oh, shoot that guy, go in that room, pick up the life..." etc....

Don't you with they'd let you figure out the game on your own?

Anyway, I was playing Zelda 3, but now my girlfriend is playing, I don't know why tohugh, since she seems to have the whole thing memorized...

LOL, sometimes it does, and other times it doesn't.

I'm not very good at video games so I usually ask for help.

Yeah, it bothers me if I dont ask for help. If someone asks for help, or if I ask, well...Its fair game.

Anyways, the easiest solution I have found to this is to get rid of your friends. Heck, i dont have ANY naymore, and NO ONE tells me how to play games!! :)

I don't know about that. I always take a deck of cards with me when I go hiking in the woods. If I ever get lost, I just sit down and start playing solitaire and some SOB will show up and tell me what card to play. Then I just ask him for directions out of the woods.

He's playing WarCraft 3, I'm quite good @ level 22, he's a noob that just mass-huntz:

*he makes mass hunts*
Me: dude make some archers to go along with that
*views his base*
Me: what the heck, only one ancient of war? make another one to double your speed
Me: you have like 600 gold sitting around, upgrade to Tree of Ages
*a huntress pops up*
Me: man STAY OUT OF LOW UPKEEP!, CANCEL last Huntress
*we're under attack!*
Me: WE'RE UNDER ATTACK!
Me: attack the stupid hero! NOW
Me: No no NO Don't chase the running hero all the way, they're gettin FREE HITS!
Me: NO STOP
Me: USE *YOUR* HERO
*he is now stuttering between screens, totally freaking out*
Me: FOCUS FIRE! SEE?!?!

Me: THAT'S NOT HOW YOU USE RANGED ATTACKERS! you dance with them!
Me: YOUR HERO'S GONNA DIE NOW!! LOOK LOOK!!!!

I get told what to do all the time when I'm playing games. She says stuff like : you know the lawn is a little long; lots of dirty dishes on the counter here; the dog needs fed; the dog needs to be walked; we need groceries; fold the laundry; put away the laundry; you need to shower; you need to shave; the kids need a bath; the kids are ready to get out of the bath; the kids need to get dressed; the kids need breakfast, lunch, dinner; go break up the fight between the kids; lets go out to dinner; lets go visit my parents; lets go shopping; isnt it time for you to go to work?
None of her strategies have ever worked for me in any game I have ever played while she is coaching me. If any of you Sims players want to try them feel free, I hate that game.

I was playing HALO and this roommate of mine just sit down there and keep telling me what to do. "throw the granades" "run for cover" "look there's another one on your left, and don't forget the one behind you". That annoys the hell out of me.

It's worse when they'd played the game and kept spoiling the story for you.

I've had to stop playing playstation at my appartment, cuz I've got a roommate that can't stop saying "god you suck" every time I die or throw an incomplete plass or somehow screw up. I get so freakin' mad.

Thank god I've got a computer in my room.

I did something like that once. Gateway was having this contest based on Midtown Madness 2. Pretty simple- take a race around a circuit, top times get money/Gateway credit. Anyways, I'd heard about it a week before the actual contest, had the whole thing planned out, knew the fastest line, the shortcuts, etc. Some kid was going ahead of me, and it was obvious he had no clue what to do. One shortcut you had to go straight through a barrier because the course layout would send you on a big circle while the checkpoints were straight ahead of each other. It would save you roungly 30 seconds to 1 minute over the whole race. So anyways, the first time through the kid goes the long way, loosing precious time. So, I told him as he was approaching it again to keep going straight, it was a quick shortcut that saves all sorts of time. Poor bastard ended up getting lost and wondering the streets of San Francisco for 10 minutes. And, in case anyone cares, my brother and I won 450 bucks in credit by using that shortcut, which we managed to spend on a Dell because Gateway sucks. What was hilarious was that the computers that were used for the contest were so bad that the thing stuttered constantly.
