I haven't had a power outtage in a LONG time. I can't say that I've ever experienced one where my computer shut off (IE - it was probably off when it happened).

I had 112 days of uptime with my comp until the power went out..

Now evertime a sound starts.. i have this weird poping noise for a split second.. No idea whats causing it.. but it wasnt there before the outtage..
 
Another reason to have a UPS touchmyichi, I hope you rig is fine after you reboot 🙂
 
well i already rebooted, obviously, how else would i have typed this lol? At first everything was messed up, but its getting better now. California sucks.

I just had one at 5:30 -> 6pm PST.

My computer was on as well, and explorer is crashing.
 
I have been having the power just go out recently. It's happened a few times, but it goes right back on a few seconds later. Sucks. It's not just my house the whole street goes out.

Heh probably. Maybe even in the same apartment complex. 😉

The outage only happened to a couple houses here, so it could be likely.

Edit: How far do you live from SJSU anyway? I live a block away.

roflmao...it happened when i was @ work and i was using the restrooms.....and boss was in the stall next to me....we couldn't find the toilet paper....it was funny listenning to ourselves shuffling around looking for it.....well, kinda wierd actually..but...it became a great convo starter..wahhaha

Hey - what's going on w/ that SJ Event Center. That place needs some ventilation!!! I nearly died of heat at the Civic Tour about a week ago.
 
How nice it is to have a 1400Va rated UPS. Can go on for a good bit even when power goes out and if I'm away the management software safely shuts down the PC for me 🙂

No idea, I've been there once for early admission. Never been there since.
 
I had an hour long Power outage from like 5 until 6 AM on Tuesday. It Pissed me off. my Linux box was at like a 95 day uptime ... my UPS on my server is a little 500va, which is enough power for the celeron and monitor ... However It started to do the low battery beeping after like 20 minutes .. so I shut everything down that still had power.
