Sometimes your status flips over to next level right away, sometimes it takes a little longer. Like j0lly suggested, post over in Forums. It'll get changed over.

Do you know the full circumstances? His From: field was a little inappropriate (the mods have changed it since).

He was banned for unacceptable content in the From: field in his profile, not because he asked about the status.
