Dont want to get sick

Senior member
people in my office have been sick and coughing and i really dont want to catch it. My co-workers told me about Cold-FX, does anyone know if it works? Do you like it? Supposedly it boost your immune system and you stay well. Any insight would help, thanks

If they've been sick, you've probably got it already. Either the germs are incubating quietly right now, or else you might happen to already be immune to whatever they've got, so the germs are instead dying quietly.

probably best bet is just to carry around those little hand sanitizer bottles and use them before eating etc...

Don't touch your eyes?

You need to make sure you are getting enough sleep, keep your diet well, and maybe be a little more conciensious about washing your hands. Boost your orange juice intake, Vitamic C is helpful in fending off baddies. Get eight hours of sleep a night if you can. And yes, get some hand sanitizer!

Medicine might help, but I think what I listed above will do better.

It's better to get sick and have your body build up it's immunity naturally, than try to enhance it with drugs, IMO

Wipe the keyboards, mouse, phones with ALCOHOL and wash your hands when you eat.

then drink the alcohol afterwards.

not but really... Airbourne works. Never tried ColdFX

People at my work have been sick with colds for months...and a lady there talked about taking Airborne during the winter months so I thought I'd try it. I've tried Airborne & the Walborne brand by Walgreens but definitely original Airborne has a better taste - Zesty Orange.

I take it every 2-3 days and it's kept me from getting sick.

Prove it.

I don't get sick and I don't take any medicine. I can't remember the last time I have been sick.

take elderberry extract, echinacea, and wellness formula (buy it at gnc or some vitamin store)... that should give you a good boost in your immune system.

drink lots of water and green/white tea.

mine's invincible 😉
Go get bitten by a rattlesnake. See how your immune system deals with snake venom. 😛

OMG, omg you guys. The best immune stuff is tea. I haven't got sick since start of fall, because I drink tea at least 2 times a day. There are scientific studies that show tea boosts disease-fighting cells 10x, with any kind of tea.

TEA POWA FOREVER!!

I know Tea is good for you but i have never heard that. Interesting. Well i am trying to get as much sleep as possible, wash my hands a lot and take cold-fx. I will drink more tea than normal just to be on the safe side, thanks for all of the suggestions.

I agree! My GF was VERY sick for 2 weeks, but we kissed anyway. I started getting a sore throat and runny nose, took Airborne several times, and it went away. Can't explain it, and would normally be skeptical, but it worked.

The only person that stuff helps out is GNC shareholders.

At the first hint of a cold, start using one of the various Zicam products, which use zinc.

Zinc can help KILL the cold...

Also, a cheaper alternative is to just go buy some zinc lozenges from GNC or wherever... The stronger the better... if it taste metallic and it screws up your tastebuds for a few days, you know it's working 😉

Best bet to avoid getting sick is to wash your hands all the time... doorknobs, faucets & shaking hands are by far the most common way germs spread, also drinking a lot of plain old boring water is a great way to avoid getting sick because it keeps mucus membranes moist which is one of your bodies first lines of defense against infection from airborne germs. (mucus will surround them & you cough/sneeze them out)

Eating right & getting enough sleep are pretty important too & a good quality multi-vitamin taken daily can't hurt, however the only thing products like "Airborne" boost is the bank account balance of the company that sells them to you.

Edit: Increased Zinc intake can help boost immunity, however if you take a vitamin rich in zinc on a daily basis you shouldn't need it, plus NEVER use Zicam in its nasel spray form (which I think is no longer sold) because it can damage your sense of taste/smell.
