Lol, it sounds like Kirby Delauter isn't the only idiot there.

[Councilman Billy] Shreve, R-at large, told The News-Post in a phone interview he supported Delauter taking legal actions.

“I did not see his post, but I think The News-Post is extremely biased and someone should sue them,” Shreve said.

When asked if news media outlets should obtain permission to publish an elected official's name or reference, Shreve said, “I think media outlets are cowards and they hide behind the label of journalists and that's a bully pulpit to expand their liberal (agenda)."

Just consider the source. And another way to look at it is this is the OP's safety valve. Lord knows what he'd be doing if he couldn't blow off steam here against his mortal enemy - that being any Republican.
My hypocrisy meter just exploded. Boomerang, the guy who lives in the deepest bowels of the nutter propaganda media, sniping at someone else's source. Hilarious.

So we're now posting about county councilmen? Is it that slow of a news day? How do people from NYC even find this shizz? Was some sort of proggie alert sent out?

Fern
Or if you are bound and determined to dig deep enough...
Oh, get over it. You both know full well that P&N righties rush to post the same sorts of stories about boneheaded local Democrats. Both parties have their share of buffoons. It's not an indictment of the party as a whole (on either side). It just shows that some individuals are really dumb. Laugh and move on.

The media takes the 1st amendment very seriously, so it's always news whenever an elected official foolishly decides to threaten their 1st amendment rights.

Oh I agree, but look who decided to whip out the ole "I'll break you in half and throw you off of a balcony" and is now sucked into the lunacy that is the CBD theory.

Hopefully the guy will have a heart attack and become a vegetable.

OP was asked to edit his post, he edited it to the above. He was asked to edit it again, he replied with sarcastic defiance.

I think people here are being very unfair to Kirby Delauter. It's not Kirby Delauter's job to know about archaic laws; did you know the First Amendment dates all the way back to the 18th Century? Neither did Kirby Delauter. Kirby Delauter doesn't have time to waste looking up interesting facts like that. Kirby Delauter is a very busy man. Kirby Delauter's attorney is about to be a very busy man too, since suing every human on Earth is bound to take a toll. But that's the cost of the continued commitment to excellence in the field of applied ignorance that Kirby Delauter has devoted his life to. Kirby Delauter would have it no other way.

Kirby Delauter.

Nah, scraping bottom would be something like denigrating a Republican's abuse of the noble apostrophe. That would be petty.

Kirby Delauter would blow an aorta over such a thing.

He should just swallow up the newspaper and then use the power of the written word as he sees fit.

Fair question. No. But I can't help but feel deep sadness when I see posts like this.

He changed it. It went from "Hopefully the guy will have a heart attack and die" to "Hopefully the guy will have a heart attack and become a vegetable". It is sad, sad that someone is so screwed up in the head they wish someone else harm just because of their political views.

I'm not sure what's funnier, the original story, or watching Larry, Curly, and Moe attempt to obfuscate the thread whilst repeatedly hitting themselves over the head with hammers...

EDIT: Kirby Delauter

You must be the post flagger. It has nothing to do with political views. I'm just pissed off at the whole abuse of power nonsense going on in this country, and all the stupid people out there.

Oh I am sure your post drew plenty of flags but none were from me.
