If I was on broadband I would download the manual for your setup. Look into it, it is usually explained pretty theroughly. I have an older raid board and the drives are set to the same ide channel if they were to be used in a raid setup.

Here is my 2 cents,

IDE 1: WD200Gb master for datas, backing up if raid 0 is used,MP3s ect,

IDE 2: DVDrom master. CDrom as slave you could go either way, however
if one is a burner it should be set as master.

IDE 3 (Raid) WD80 probably Cable select

IDE 4 (Raid) WD80 probably Cable select

I'm not sure about jumper settings on WD drives using them in a raid setup, I've
heard Cable select is what you want

My Maxtor 80s are both set to master for my Sata raid 0 setup on an SINXP 1394
Hope this helped

and as Willoughbyva said check the manual

I agree with the shootinyou setup, except that I would set both of the 80G WDs on master, rather than cable select. Each has its own IDE channel, so why worry or not this particular setup is cable select compatible or not.

I have a RAID 0 setup with a single master drive on each of IDE 3 and 4, though I do not yet have the extra drive on IDE 1. CDRW and DVD are on IDE2, don't recall which is which but I am guessing that the CDRW is the master. I've only tried a CD to CD copy once at a low speed, so dunno what I might be missing thereby.
