lol.... dude I am NOT getting a dell.... i'd get something on the lines of a sony <IMG border=0 src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"> ....just cause their sexy. Yeah the Fan is okay.... i mean that thing is a thick fan... I downgraded fans to something that runs @ 3000rpms compared to 7200...ow.

If you've ever heard of the case "Neon Light" don't get it... i've went through 2 brand new mobos on it in the past 2 weeks. None of them fit properly in it. I had to acutally replace the Asus mobo cause i fried my 1700 in it and downgraded to the MSI / 1700. (both new).

Because it didn't fit right in the case I had to raise the PCI side to where the PCI bays are with duct tape, and placed the mobo on that... (ran out of electrical tape) which made the PCI cards slide in their PCI slots so much better.... this time i won't fry my geforce3 ti200 because of the damn issue. :-\

After that i layered the metal case under the mobo with anti-static material (under PCI slots) in a 9 inch square because the circuits were touching the metal of the case. I've only got 2 screws holding the mobo on at the top....haha it's "jerry-rigged" but what can you seriously do.

Are you serious???

After that i layered the metal case under the mobo with anti-static material (under PCI slots) in a 9 inch square because the circuits were touching the metal of the case. I've only got 2 screws holding the mobo on at the top....haha it's "jerry-rigged" but what can you seriously do.

Do you not use stand-offs? You know, those little brass or silver looking things that you can twist into the mobo tray and then they will line up with the holes in your mobo. They're good (read; necessary) for keeping those circuits from touching the tray, they also elevate the mobo so that all the cards fit with the PCI slots.
Now, if I'm wrong, and you did in fact use these, then I stand corrected, and yeah, that case company should be sued or something for not fallowing protocol.
Otherwise, yeah, get a dell 😛

I've never bled... I have cracked a nail on various 80mm fans. The worst was my 85 cfm 120mm delta... that thing destroys your nail. it REALLY hurts 😱

Hehehe... Just wounded myself today sticking my finger into a 60mm, was replacing a Pabst 120mm, 55 cfm for a YS tech 120mm, 125 cfm. Man it cut deep and hard. The 120mm is a screamer tho'!!!

hehe... i think i've learned from experience now.... either be really careful, or turn the damned thing off. heh

I've stuck many a finger in a case/HS fan, never did any serious damage although it hurt like hell when a fan blade whacked off a burn blister from a stove incident.
Have a funny electrical story though...Working Customer Service at a grocery store when I was younger. Some guy return a disposible camera because it didn't work. Being that working as a grocery store is boring as hell, I got bored, grabbed a screwdriver out of the junk drawer, and began prying the disposible camera apart. Apparently, I forgot all the electrical stuff I'd learned, and no sooner had I jammed the screwdriver into the body of the camera, than I got a nasty jolt and threw/ejected the screwdriver about 20 feet away. As it turns out, even though it only had two AA batteries installed, it also had a flash. And where there's a flash, there's a big-ass capacitor, which I'd managed to touch both leads of, discharging the cap into myself.
...But in some strange way, it felt kinda good...Except for the little invisible (yet painful) burnmark the screw in the screwdriver handle left in my hand...

That's it... all you guys who slice themselves with fans:
Move to water-cooling! You might not have any choice if you keep injuring yourselves! 😉

<< Yeah, but is the fan okay?😉 >>

LOL!!!

Done that several times myself, I just don't seem to learn do I 😱 I didn't know the made fan guards for CPU fans, may have to invest in one soon.
