I knew that would get your attention.

My K6-III 450/Soyo 5EHM is suffering from a failing power supply and is now completly out of my SETI fleet.

Its in an AT case, But the mother board has both ATX and AT power connectors. Is it actually possible to put this AT motherboard in an ATX case, or an ATX power supply in an AT case? Or is that whole dual power connector thing just a taunt?:disgust:

Ya, AT mobos should work fine in ATX cases. The X does stand for eXtended you know.;)

Usually these MBs should have screw positions that enable fitting into both AT and ATX casings. Not very sure though, you've to check the dimensions.

I know my ATX case can fit AT boards.. It said so in the manual so I would imagine it would.

You just want to make sure you line it up right for the slots, but especially to get to the keyboard & mouse connectors. Nothing worse than mounting a mobo and can't quite get that keyboard plugged in.

My Enlight 7237 did come with metal inserts for the rear of the case, to accomodate either ATX or AT mobos, which was cool...

You could put an ATX PS into the AT case, but you'll need to change the the on/off switch out to a ATX style.

Thanks Guys, I actually just went ahead and ordered and AT power supply. To get it back up. unfortuanatly its down for the week cause I ordered my power supply from MWAVE when I odered a stick of Kingmax pc150 ram that they have for $98. It always takes more than five days to get a package from them to me. So if they ship it tommorrow I should get it the following monday. Thats gonna be a real drag, but I like MWave for the most part.

Poof, that is pretty cool. That whole keyboard plug thing is what mostly bothered me, and why i just bought a new power supply.

Thanks Assimilator1,

As much as I'd like to find out what shipping would cost from the UK, I'd be willing to bet I couldn't get here before a week from tommorow. But hey man its, the thought that counts.

BTW one day I'm gonna catch up to you in the seti stats.
