I put ketchup on hot dogs just to piss of people who like to tell other people how to eat their food.

I tell people how to eat their food just to watch them eat something they don't like in a futile attempt to piss me off.

Dunno what you're talking about. Ketchup on hot dogs is

Hmmm, coming from the person who said...

I put ketchup on hot dogs just to piss of people who like to tell other people how to eat their food.

If you like it you're not putting it on hot dogs "just to piss off people". Try to keep your own stories straight. I know it's hard, I don't like reading your crap either.

Strange how strongly some of you feel about something so trivial as what other people put on their hot dogs

hot dogs...

cheese pickles and mustard...

OR

cheese and chili...

OR

Kraut...

Ketchup is simply a waste of good tomatoes and vinegar.

Being not from Chicagoland, ketchup still isn't put on a hot dog. And neither are pickles, hot peppers or tomatoes.

A proper hot dog is

spicy brown mustard, relish, diced raw onion, sauerkraut
or
chili and diced raw onion
or
spicy brown mustard, NY-style red onion sauce, sauerkraut

I like them all, but there is no logical reason that the last two styles are somehow more valid than the (superior) Chicago style.

But the primary truth remains evident: Ketchup has no business on hotdogs. It's for children, only.

Mayo isn't generally recommended for hot sandwiches I thought. Eh, I dip my fries in, but other than that I very much dislike it.

Ketchup is still awful. It is sugary tomato paste made for bad parents who can't get their kids to each shit. If you are still eating it past age 6, you are a moron.

you, sir, are a true patriot.

:salutes:

Shit. 7 pages about what you can and can't put on a hot dog, yet I'd bet 99% of you are eating them on an incorrectly cut, side-split hot dog bun. Fuckin' people don't understand top split.

nice!

What's ATOT's policy with ketchup on hamburgers. Is that allowed?

of course not.

Ketchup (red sugar paste) only exists for the purpose of trying to get children to eat certain foods.

It doesn't belong on anything after your palate has matured.

Then what's ATOT's position on BBQ sauce? The majority of which have a ketchup base. :hmm:

same thing. the majority of BBQ sauce is ketchup with liquid smoke.

good BBQ doesn't need it, anyway. It's only used to satisfy the people that can't taste anything (they are conditioned on sugar).

Yeah, 'cause it's really hard to get children to eat hot dogs, fries and hamburgers.

This! I hate BBQ flavored anything, especially those god awful chips. Sugar and smoke is all it is. Fuckin' Americans with sugar on everything...

It's not good BBQ without a rub or a sauce and both have pluses and minuses.

Otherwise you are just eating meat set on fire.
