Don't put ketchup on hot dogs!

I don't care what anyone says but mayonnaise on a hot dog is disgusting. Any large amounts of mayo makes me sick to my stomach.

I put ketchup and mustard on my hot dogs. But I typically eat the 24 dogs for $5 pack at the grocery store.

I'm ok with it. Food snobs can go eat whatever they like.

If you can't get a Sonoran hotdog (or a Chipilones even better) and have to settle for something lesser then ketchup is a fine thing on hotdogs.

Ketchup is for children. It is used to put some kind of sweetness onto food because you're too bad of a parent to make your kids eat food without sugar in it.

It goes on NOTHING. The only acceptable condiment on a hotdog is mustard.

Ketchup is one of the 3 prime condiments to put on a hot dog, along with mustard and relish. Anything else is extra/bonus, but a standard hot dog has mustard relish and mustard.

Does it count if you slice up the hot dogs, and put them in spaghetti with a ketchup and margarine sauce? Fucking delicious I tell you.

I wouldn't either I didn't say Mayo on a dog.

I actually do love it on burgers, or Bleu Cheese and Mushrooms.

I had a guy years ago had a German girlfriend he lived with made freaking killer burgers with Mayo and toasted onion buns, I still try to replicate her a bit with burgers sometimes.

That's a European thing no? Everyone in English Canada puts ketchup on fries. Quebeckers are partial to gravy.

And it used to be a common thing on fries in Canada I thought, the mayo on fries thing, it was weird to me at the time also.

Maybe it went out of vogue over the years *shrug*

I like hot sauce on my hot dogs rather than ketchup, a burger joint in my area makes their own brand of it and it is simply amazing. I will never go back to ketchup, it's too good.

I also use mustard on them if I run out of my special sauce.

I still like making coney dogs myself when I can con my sister in law to make her homemade chili, it's great for em. That come chopped onions, bit of sliced up greek peppers and some hot sauce and maybe some good shredded cheese.

I'm a happy camper then.
