Don't point a gun at anyone you don't want to kill

Very powerful image 10/10.

Could probably sum up the last 20 years.

Did you read the part that he got it off the Internet so he hadn't even pointed the gun at the person?

To be fair...I can easily unmount any of the scopes I own and mimic this shot...with no gun involved.

maybe it was just the scope.

In November, the head of the IDF spokesperson's social media unit landed in hot water after he posted a photo on Facebook with mud on his face, captioned "Obama style."
something is really wrong with the IDF company culture if even the boss of the social media propaganda unit does this kind of stupid stuff.

Eytan Buchman, a spokesman for the Israel Defense Forces, told ABC News that Ostrovski told his commander on Saturday that he had not taken the photo himself but that he'd taken it off the internet. No disciplinary action will be taken.

No one actually read the article?

Because he wouldn't lie about something like that to cover his ass, would he? Soldiers and police of any nation are glorious golden knights, and ALWAYS beyond reproach. Anyone even questioning their motivations should be kicked in the balls, and put in jail.

So you assume he is lying then?

I always assume people are lying when put under the light. To be clear, I don't care about this particular thing. I think he showed bad judgment putting it online, and being disciplined was a suitable punishment, though it should probably have been tougher. While this particular instance isn't a big deal, social media is a blight on society, and a risk for leaking important data. The punishment should have been severe enough o make others think about posting their lives online.

Still didn't read the article I see.

I got it confused with this part...

The uproar over the photo follows another posted by an Israeli infantryman on Facebook around a week ago. In it, he mocked the four Palestinian prisoners he was guarding by posing bound and blindfolded next to them. He was sentenced to 14 days detention after the brigade's commanders discovered the photo and ordered it taken down.
