What if I were selling links to the AT forums, a cyber-place where you can get tons of free advice and good deals. What would you think of me? What would you think of the buyers?

<< << Are you saying that I made a false statement? >>

Well I am. How ignorant do people have to be to say something like that? You have no idea how much it irks me when people make such generalizations about AOLers. I've been an AOLer for years, as are quite a few people around these forums. And I know well that there is a world outside of AOL, in fact, I use VERY VERY few of the AOL features. Not all AOLers are quite as illiterate as all the anti-AOL propaganda would make you think.

I guess you a super l33t 4o7-er. Of course there are exceptions, don't take personal offense to it if it doesn't apply to you, or do take offense, I don't give a damn.

This will be my last post on the topic.

<< I guess you a super l33t 4o7-er. >>

Simply in that statement you've made yourself more akin to the AOLers you speak of than I've ever been.

<< I don't give a damn. >>

See my aforementioned statement.

Copied and Pasted from your rig Vrolok:

Internet Provider: AOL :(

<edit>

You obviously are sad at the fact you are using AOL, yet you still feel the need to protect it.

No, I think what he's trying to say is that AOL is a program for the masses. The people who get ripped off on Ebay and whatnot are the same people who fall for the pubisher's clearing house schemes and the like. It's just that the internet makes it so they can get ripped off in digital time.

Do you think they're sad to be paying that much for a link? Obviously not because no one forced them to bid on it so they must think they'd be better off by doing it.

Like I've said time & time again, I've met more ignorant people off aol than on aol. Everyone makes me (and others on this board) out to be AOL zealots when in fact I am only telling the truth that seems so hard for other people to accept. People wanna talk about close mindedness, just bring up AOL and all the arguments, or non-arguments, people have against it and you'll really see close minded people. Alienwho is just another example of someone who doesn't know a @$&U)$@ about it yet spurts off mocking statements left & right. So, I find myself justified in calling him a moron as well as many other people on the board when it comes to this subject. With that, I'm out for the day...in the mean time, my computer will remain connected at 45.3 and will d/l all day long without signing off, being unable to connect due to a busy signal, or seeing a single pop up add generated by AOL.

Have a nice day.

Yeah Matt, I don't know sh!t about AOL. Only when I used to do customer support for Windows ME trying to connect the AOL-ers to the internet because they thought we were AOL tech support. Well I don't even have to go on.

To me it seems like someone or some people are trying to raise their rating with false/fraudlent transactions. Having fake auctions just to get a high rating(which I can assume is to try and rip people off), is against Ebay rules.

So you are one of the morons trying to troubleshoot a program you weren't trained on that screws it up even worse.

<< Well [AOL'ers] these days tend to think the internet consists of: AOL and all there keywords, and 2: Ebay. Nothing else exists. >>

First off it is their not there. I know of more than just AOL keywords when I am online. I rarely go to Ebay and I am the guy who made $950 profit building an Athlon 1.33 DDR computer for someone who is not even a member of AOL. So your generalizations about AOL members being morons is quite false. You use bad spelling and incorrect statements to call me names. Nice.

If the people are paying the agreed upon price for a product how are they getting ripped off? Just because you don't think it is a good deal does not mean that they are getting ripped off. I personally believe that a new Corvette C5R is not worth more than a couple thousand dollars yet people constantly pay dealer prices for it. Are they getting ripped off? No. They are getting the deal the agree to. It is called supply and demand.

<< "<< Well [AOL'ers] these days tend to think the internet consists of: AOL and all there keywords, and 2: Ebay. Nothing else exists. >>

You, sir, are a moron."

Now now, dont get defensive because you are on AOL and cant handle the truth.

It is not the truth so your statement is invalid.
