Don't make a mistake like me with attempting a refund in steam.

That wouldn't really work. A lot of people buy games on Steam and then don't play them for a long time. If you could refund them if you haven't downloaded them, everyone would be scrambling to refund and repurchase whenever a game goes on sale.

Exactly! 😀

Next time, try writing in English, using proper grammar and punctuation, verbiage and a semblance of cohesive thought.

Just goes to show you that doing business with a company that refuses to offer a consistent everyday low price (instead of blotted prices with fake sales) will burn you.

All that over $10 dollars. If you had spent all that time working you could have tripled/quadrupled your profit....

Title should read: Be careful when dealing with cheap self-entitled customers.

No shit... OP is a whiny wise and beautiful woman. I can't believe you thought you were entitled to a refund just because a game went on sale. I bought Mass Effect 2 on release for $60, but these days I see it go for $30. Should I go argue for the difference in money for that too? Fucking retarded...

I understand that STEAM wouldn't do this, but it would be nice if they could do partial refunds ... not sure what's holding them back. I can do partial refunds on clients, and I am a little guy.

the same reason I own 2 copies of serious sam HD the first encounter

why you cant gift games you already own, just doesnt make sense.

anytime I can easily get a boxed copy, I do that.

a friend of mine has like 17 steam accounts, most with 1 game or game bundle on them.

Uhh.. what?

I've gifted numerous games I do not own. Are you and your friend both retarded?

I only decided to try this as I figured it would be easy to do. So I figured why not.

Shit if I knew it would be a pain in the ass I would have not done it. I didn't really care about $10 bucks.

Yet I figured if I can try. Then what will it hurt?

However it's nice to know what an retarded asshole I am over it.

Fuck. Make one mistake and burn at the stake.

no, you didnt read it right. You can't gift games you already own.

why can't I give a game away?

I bought the Serious Sam pack in the sale because it was like 7.50 for both, but I bought the first one over xmas sale when it was like 5 bucks.

They wouldnt left me gift the new copy because well, they won't let you.

And I couldnt gift the one I already had of course, because, well, they wont let you.

I bought the pack because it was cheaper to get both at 7.50 total then 15 for just the second episode. Im not like mad, I saved money. But it reminded me how much of a ripoff steam can be about that stuff. I would have loved to have gifted it to my brother or father, rather than have it e-dissappear because steam decided I cant do anything with it.

I'm going to have to start making new accounts for specific game packs like that now so I stop getting screwed out of legit licenses by steam

Welcome to the Internet, enjoy your stay.

Oh yes, edit your god damned original post. It's breaking the page width.

I fixed it.

I also looked at my situation & realized how wrong I am. I got what I deserved.

You can read the OP now as I realize how ridiculous I was being. I apologize for wasting everyone's time.

This is my fault. I should have just accepted my loss & not tried a stupid refund. What the hell was I thinking?

I am lucky I got a refund & should have been more clear to make sure the right item got refunded. So I got what I deserved. Which again it was stupid of me.

I also shouldn't have came here whining about the wrong order getting refunded when I should have just accepted my loss.

Sorry & thanks for letting me know what moron I was being.

Two mistakes.

The first mistake was trying to get a refund from Steam. The second mistake was posting about it.

I know it's hard to believe but there are mean people on the internet.

Heh whoa. I came to that realization and fixed my OP right before you posted. 😉

Well, I would think the obvious reason would be because you and a friend could simply gift the same game back and forth. Since your Steam already has the game files, the second you were gifted it, you'd be able to play it.

Now is this a Steam issue or a dev/pub issue? Do you think they want 10 people to be able to share the same purchase?

Way to fail at reading comprehension. He wants to be able to gift a second copy of a game, since he already owns an original copy and therefore doesn't need another. He said nothing about gifting his one and only license to the game.
