Those just chrome painted the body. This guy made a billet FRAME, suspension, and everything.

Yeah, I just meant from an aesthetics standpoint, it doesn't look gaudy and dumb.
 
This thing is just stunning. I have no earthly idea about the engineering soundness of a billet aluminum frame - I know I have broken my fair share of billet aluminum stuff over the years mountain biking - but it's beautiful and a remarkable feat of design and construction.
 
Just finished reading all the PDF's, that is some seriously impressive work.

Anyone want to venture a guess on total cost? I wonder if they're allowed to build any more, now that all the design work is done...

I just read over the PDFs and am bowled over by the level of care and attention to detail that went into the engineering and construction of this machine. I can't even begin to guess a cost, but wouldn't be stunned if it were mid 7-figures (particularly since they knew they were building it for one of the wealthiest men in the US, with such an ego that he might actually be happy to pay top dollar).
 
this doesn't seem much different than the chrome UAE cars.

i mean, it's form over function. there are parts that just shouldn't be billet aluminum. he might as well have given it billet seats. or just nixed the whole idea and made a car out of ice like some kind of absurd supervillain.

it's pretty, though.

Sweet mother of billet, that is impressive !!!

I've always loved the AC cobra. Saw an episode on 'Chasing Classic Cars' this week where Wayne sold an original one for a guy for 1.165 mil.
