Yes thats right BSOD i've gotten twice in the past two weeks. Everytime my computer freezes its when i'm playing games and nothing else. Ever since i've had raid 0 running on my computer i've had freezing problems. I'm really considering ditching my raptors and going for a single larger capacity hd like a seagate 7200.9 160gig or something of that nature.

When the BSOD shows ups its always when i'm playing games..why?, i have no freaking clue. I'll be playing a game and it'll freeze for like 5 secs unfreeze and then freeze again and then finally i will have to hold the restart button to reset, and as i'm holding the restart it'll jump to the BSOD. Like i said thought, ever since i've had raid on my computer i've had problems.

Your problem isn't with the Raptors themselves, but more likely you shouldn't have set up a Raid0 it's pretty much a waste and a disaster waiting to happen. The problem you are having with the BSOD is more likely an issue with a driver for your video card, could also be a PSU issue or maybe a temp issue.

Some more info on what drivers you are using for the 7800gtx, and what are your temps??

(I doubt that Seasonic monster you have would actually be the cause)

testing your ram is easy and would be something worth trying while you wait.

Guess what guys, it did again, the BSOD has returned and this time i wrote down the info.

But thats not all, i restarted my computer and just before the windows load out screen this error came up: NTLDR is missing

Don't know what any of that stuff means, but the weird thing is a month 1/2 after i built my computer i took it into geek squad because i couldn't install raid, i installed it right, but it turned out i had a faulty disk. No biggy, but since i was so frustrated because i couldn't get the raid to work i said: Screw it i can't deal with the stress level and just have them fix it. Once i got the computer back about a week or two later is when all the nonsense started. I firmly believe that it was not me that screwed up the computer, but rather the person that fixed. I'm not a person that likes go to a store and raise hell over a complaint.

I promised my self this, if i got the BSOD one more time i am going to just buy a new HD other than raptors. And raid is pointless, but i just did because i only have two of the 36.7gig raptors.

And i just got the BSOD just last night right after i installed 3dmark06. See the computer (freezes) when i'm running games or performance benchmarking programs and nothing else. I would say about 2-3 times out of 10 it'll froze, but 1 out of 15-20 times the BSOD will come up. My theory is that it may be either a power supply issue, or my HD's are just being pieces of crap.

All in all i don't know what to do, but either way i'm buying a new HD.

NTLDR... sounds like it needs a fresh windows install. did you install the proper drivers for raid during the install?

i'd doubt its the PSU, 600watt's more then enough. what are the temps on that gtx? try running your vid card at stock and see if it still does that. you can also run memtest a few times just to rule out the memory (i've heard a few times about 1.5 memory having problems at the rated 1.5)

My 7800 at idle is only like 40-42c, and mid 60's under load when gaming. My ram is running fine. I just purchased a new HD, a seagate barracuda 7200.9 160gb.

I'm actually a little ticked because when i got the computer back from them, i've noticed that someone must of changed the ram voltage. Usually the ram in the bios shows as 2.66v, but for some odd reason it was at 2.76v which is a little high for "tccd" chips, especially since i wasn't overclocking.
