Don't keep secrets on your cell phone

Well how dumb do you have to be to input your credit card number or bank account number into your cell phone anyway. Even if you work for a business, either carry the card or put it in your wallet or something. Not on your phone. A new cell phone is stolen every 3 minutes. Doesn't anyone in the business world think logically?

Interesting, guess it's similar to recovering deleted data on hard drives, most people think once it's deleted theres no getting it back.

Well the did say in the story that a lot of the phone they did this on were e-mail capable, so I'd think a good amount of the info they got was through e-mail exchanges that were recovered.

Just a guess though.

well obviously. considering the stories i've heard of data being recovered from HDD's that have been burned and tortured, a phone should be easy.
